Richard Whittington

A professional musician since the age of 15, Richard Whittington learned his craft in the nightclubs of eastern North Carolina, many times performing before he was of legal age to enter the clubs. "Sneaking into all these clubs to perform...then bragging to my friends at school the next day was a blast." Fulltime road work followed and after 9 years and 3 different bands, it was time to change courses. After owning and operating a recording studio for 7 years, Richard's travels brought him to Ft. Wayne, where a chance meeting with Mark Magdich initiated a sequence of events that would eventually bring Richard into the Brother lineup. A fiery instrumentalist...Richard was once told by an observer, "Man...your guitar sounds like it's alive!" Richard still considers this to be his finest compliment, and the guitar he says...is alive.
